In “BBX Heroes” we shine the spotlight on some of our awesome BBXers. Each time we ask the same set of 10 questions and let you tell everyone about your health and fitness journey in your own words, so that you can hopefully inspire others who may be struggling to deal with their own health and wellbeing issues, or who may just need a little bit of extra motivation as they work towards their own goals. Here we are delighted to feature the lovely Donna Willis!

Q: When did you start with Bhangra Blaze/BBX?
I started in February 2022.
Q: Why did you join the class/platform?
I wanted to learn some bhangra and get fit.
Q: How often do you do BBX Bhangra workouts?
Once a week.
Q: What difference has BBX made to you physically?
Its increased my fitness and helped me to lose weight.
Q: What difference has BBX made to you mentally?
The classes are fun and really lift my mood.
Q: What other types of exercise do you as well as the BBX workouts?
I play hockey. We train once a week and have matches each week. I’ve also recently joined the gym.
Q: Which is best – BBX On-demand workouts, Virtual Classes or Live Classes? …and why?
I prefer being in the classes in person to online. I’ve not really got the space for online workouts at the moment and they’re a little more advanced than where our class is at, as our class only started this year. I’ll probably try online again early 2023.
Q: What do you like most about being a BBXer?
It’s fun and I’ve met lots of lovely people. We’ve been out for a couple of dinners and I’m really looking forwards to the Bhangra Ball.
Q: What are your future health and fitness goals?
I’d like to be at the point where I’m fit enough to be doing a couple of bhangra classes a week.
Q: Would you be happy to recommend BBX to your family and friends?
I have already tried to encourage friends to come along!
