And so, after many months of planning, on the morning of Saturday 20th November, 2021, our little gang (me, hubby and the kids) arrived at the venue pumped up and itching to get to work on getting everything ready for the evening. The venue (Aston Wood Golf Club) had already prepared the tables, so we quickly set to work dressing the chairs with seat covers and sashes. Hubby did a great job ironing the sashes! 
Our fab balloon decoration suppliers (STR Creations) also arrived to finish the tables off beautifully and create the gorgeous balloon arch. A sprinkle of of sparkles on each table completed the look.
We left the venue really pleased with the final look – and later in the day our lovely cake suppliers (Kikis Cakes and Bakes) arrived with our boxed cupcake flavours to finish everything off. We were ready to go!

6.45pm
The scene was set and our stars started to arrive! I was in awe of the outfits, the style, the glitter and the glamour…it was like Bhangra royalty!
It never takes much to start off the dance proceedings (in fact it as a race to the dancefloor) and many were in full flow very quickly. We danced the first part of the night away, highlighted by a wonderful collective effort on “Jerusalema”. 
With a couple of breaks for food, the party continued all night. Our fab DJ AK Beats mixed some awesome tunes and the crowd were treated to an electrifying performance by the Dhol group Beats By Lions. Everyone let their hair down and the dancefloor was packed throughout the night. Near the end of the night, me and Mr B led everyone through the Electric Slide (Mr B obviously in his element!) to the sound of “Candy” by Cameo.
And then – just like that – the night was all over and we were on the BBX RailGaddi all the way home….exhausted, but happy!!
Can’t wait for next year…
