The inaugural Bhangra Blaze Christmas Ball 2019 was a resounding success at Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club on Saturday 23rd November 2019! Over 100 Bhangra Blazers turned up ready to parrrrrtaaaaayyyy, including our very own BB instructor from London, Rupi Rai who wasn’t going to stay behind!
The event kicked off with a short speech by Bally Bhogal, the Birmingham Sutton Coldfield instructor, thanking everyone who had made the event and the BB journey possible. This included her husband, kids, the Bhangra Blazers themselves and fellow colleagues – all of whom give their support to make the classes and events happen.
This was followed by a short display by both instructors (a pair of giggling girls who had waited 4 years for the opportunity to collaborate!), a 3-course Indian meal, a Bhangra DJ and a Dhol Player. Around 125 people danced the night away, clutching their heels under their arms on the way out! The planning for the next event has already started so watch out folks for the big bhangra bash next year in BEE-BEE (which means “20-20” in Punjabi folks!).
