In “BBX Heroes” we shine the spotlight on some of our awesome BBXers. Each time we ask the same set of 10 questions and let you tell everyone about your health and fitness journey in your own words, so that you can hopefully inspire others who may be struggling to deal with their own health and wellbeing issues, or who may just need a little bit of extra motivation as they work towards their own goals. Below, we are delighted to feature not one but two BBX Heroes – awesome sisters

Q: When did you start with Bhangra Blaze/BBX?
Anfal: We both started together in June 2021.
Q: Why did you join the class/platform?
Anfal: To become physically more active whilst enjoying the workout. It’s also a little escape from work and everyday life- you can just let yourself go and enjoy the workout stress free!
Raeesa: To learn and enjoy Bhangra and keep on top of fitness.
Q: How often do you do BBX Bhangra workouts?
Anfal: Once a week at the venue but we do try and attempt the pre-recorded workouts that Bally has provided during the week.
Raeesa: Once a week.
Q: What difference has BBX made to you physically?
Anfal: Since joining the classes I can see a big difference in myself, I have more energy & my muscles have loosened up. I’m not as stiff.
Raeesa: It has made me more active and enjoy Bhangra more and it has also supported my weight loss.
Q: What difference has BBX made to you mentally?
Anfal: It’s given me more confidence to just be myself.
Raeesa: It makes you feel fresh and de-stresses you as you are enjoying what you’re doing as well as losing weight and being active.
Q: What other types of exercise do you as well as the BBX workouts?
Anfal: I attend the gym 3/4 times a week when possible.
Raeesa: As well as BBX we go to the gym at least twice a week and work out our leg muscles and hips.
Q: Which is best – BBX On-demand workouts, Virtual Classes or Live Classes? …and why?
Anfal: Personally I prefer the on-demand workouts. It gets difficult juggling work and home life, which makes it hard finding the time to join the live/Zoom workouts. With the on-demand we’re able to access it whenever which I like the most.
Raeesa: I like the live workouts as it’s easier and Bally supports us more with whatever move we find difficult and breaks it down.
Q: What do you like most about being a BBXer?
Anfal: I mostly enjoy interacting with other BBX-ers at the class. I really like how there’s a mixture of people in the class, from all backgrounds and ages – it’s lovely to see a different side to everyone which we probably wouldn’t see outside the BBX class. Everyone is ready to let themselves go and just have a laugh.
Raeesa: It’s really enjoyable and it makes you feel more confident.
Q: What are your future health and fitness goals?
Anfal: To be happy and comfortable with my body and to be able to get into shape.
Raeesa: To tone muscles and lose weight to build confidence.
Q: Would you be happy to recommend BBX to your family and friends?
Anfal: I would 100% recommend attending BBX classes to friends and family!
Raeesa: Yes, I’m certainly going to recommend it!
